Of all the materials available to fly tyers, marabou is one of the most underutilized. Marabou is used in many applications: tails, wings, and shrouds to add bulk and movement. Very popular for bonefish, buggers, nymphs and emerger flies, Marabou can be used for tailing material, palmered as a collar, bodies, and also used as a wing. It is also great for small fies down to size 24.
